This wedding day was beautiful!
It was such an honour to be asked to photograph it and I couldn't have asked for more relaxed (although outbursts of excitement were had) and happy couple. These two deserve all the happiness in the world and I am so glad they have found it in each other.
Congratulations you two!
We started the day off by going to Salon Safari in Brampton where Jackie, Mel and Colleen had their hair done. Jackie needed some touch up on her nails and they were more than happy to help.
I then went back to the house a little early to take some pictures of the dress and the shoes.
There is a story about this. Jackie broke her foot so she was unable to wear her original dress and shoes. So this is the dress she found a week before her wedding, but it was meant to be because it fit her perfectly!
These were her original shoes that she could no longer wear but I couldn't pass up the chance to photograph such amazing shoes :)
These were the shoes Jackie ended up wearing and they went perfectly with the dress.
We then moved up stairs where Mel brought out her makeup and set to work.
She did great!
You could tell this wedding had something different about it. This wedding was not all about the bride and groom as individuals but it was about the families they came from and the new family they were creating.
The ceremony was simply elegant. The most unique and touching part was when they were lighting the unity candles and the song that was playing was a love song written and recorded by Jackie to Brian.
The dancing was kicked off by cousin Matthew who danced Grandma Marg's shoes off.
The prize for dancing was having Brian and Jackie Kiss.
There were favours at all the place settings and they were among the most unique I have seen. Golf balls with thank you written on them. Amazing!
As I said, this wedding was all about family, and I think that they make a pretty good looking one :)
Congratulations again you two!
With love, Megan
